Eataly Eaton Centre in Toronto is seeking a Bread Baker for overnight, full‑time production to craft artisanal breads, focaccia, and pizzas. This role reports to the Bakery & Pala Lead and requires staying active through night shifts.

You will mix, proof, and bake doughs to established recipes, maintain a clean production area, and support guests with knowledge about bread and pizza production across shifts.

Competenze

• 1+ year of experience in a bakery preparation position.
• Basic math and measuring skills.
• Good work ethic, communication and time management.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Mansioni

• Prepares and bakes artisanal breads, focaccia, and pizzas during overnight production to ensure readiness for daily service.
• Mixes, ferments, proofs, and bakes doughs according to established recipes and production schedules.
• Assists with pizza preparation and dough mixing as needed.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary production area in compliance with Department of Health standards.
• Collaborates closely with the team to ensure consistency, efficiency, and product quality across shifts.
• Assists Sales Associates when needed and engages with guests interested in learning about bread and pizza production.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

In Eataly’s 24-hour operating bakery, a Bread Baker is responsible for producing delicious bread and focaccia in accordance with our authentic Italian recipes. Reports to the Bakery & Pala Lead.

• Prepares and bakesartisanal breads, focaccia, and pizzas during overnight production to ensure readiness for daily service.
• Mixes, ferments, proofs, and bakes doughs according to established recipes and production schedules.
• Assists with pizza preparation and dough mixing as needed.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary production area in compliance with Department of Health standards.
• Works towards mastering all stages of overnightbakery and pizza production.
• Collaborates closely with the teamto ensure consistency, efficiency, and product quality across shifts.
• Assists Sales Associates when needed and engages with guests interested in learning about bread and pizza production.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience in a baker preparation position
• Basic math and measuring skills
• Good work ethic, communication and time management skills
• Post-secondary culinary program highly preferred

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with an flexible scheduleincluding overnights, evenings and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-pacing mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting

Compensation

• Compensation for this role is CAD $20-22 hourly
