Job summary

Mazak Corporation Canada is seeking an Area Sales Manager to cover the Northern Alberta territory from our Edmonton office. You will build relationships with manufacturers and machine tool buyers, present Mazak solutions, and drive profitable sales.

The role requires at least 5 years in sales or machine tools, an Associate or Technical Diploma, blueprint literacy, and a valid G-Driver’s license. Travel 25–50% with a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical diploma is required.
• At least 5 years in sales and/or machine tools or metal industry.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret part tolerances.
• Valid G-Driver’s license and proficient MS Office tools.
• Strong writing and reporting skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver presentations on technical features, CNC control and options for Mazak machines.
• Prepare, deliver and explain machine proposals.
• Directly negotiate the sale of machines.
• Provide post-sale technical support as required.
• Travel to and from customers 25-50% as needed.
• Attend local, regional and national shows to promote and sell machines.
• Prepare and review proposals and respond to RFPs.

At this moment, we need an Area Sales Manager to cover the Northern Alberta territory.

The job duties are (but are not limited to):

• Prepare and deliver presentations on the technical features, CNC control and options pertaining to all Mazak machines
• Prepare, deliver and explain machine proposals
• Directly negotiate the sale of machines
• Provide necessary post sale technical support as required
• Travel to and from customers as needed to conduct business
• Attend local, regional and national shows as required to assist in the promotion and sale of machines and
• Prepare and review proposals and respond RFPs to prospective clients.

What are your Qualifications:

• Education: Associate or Technical Diploma Required
• At least 5 years related experience required, a combination of sales and machine tools / metal industry
• Experience in reading blueprint drawings, understand part geometry and interpret part tolerances
• G-Driver’s License
• Proficiency in MS Windows and Office Suite
• Sound writing and reporting skills

Travelling Requirement: 25-50% of the time, depending on your home base and the prospecting customers’ needs.

The position is Hybrid, but out of our office in Edmonton, Alberta.
