Job summary

U-Haul is seeking an Area Field Manager in Kelowna, British Columbia. You will prospect, open and grow dealership opportunities on your designated route, while developing relationships with local business owners to drive growth and market presence.

You will manage route profitability and ensure equipment is serviced and displayed effectively. This role requires travel, safety compliance, and ongoing U-Haul education to support dealers.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and a good driving record for operating commercial vehicles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain a DOT health certificate from a federally registered medical examiner.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Work with small businesses within your designated route to prospect, open and grow the U-Haul dealership organization.
• Develop and manage relationships with small business owners and U-Haul dealerships to train and educate dealers on growth opportunities.
• Manage your routes profit and loss to grow the route through transactions.
• Service and maintain current U-Haul equipment and displays for operational excellence and marketability.
• Coordinate with support staff to ensure dealership success within your route.

Perform minor repair and maintenance on U-Haul equipment. Arrange for the recovery of lost, stolen or abandoned U-Haul equipment.* Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.**Minimum Requirements:*** Valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a good driving record to operate commercial motor vehicles* High school diploma or equivalent* Must be able to obtain a D.O.T. health certificate from a federally registered medical examiner* Must be 18 or older**Work Environment:**The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.**Physical Demands:**The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.U-Haul Holding Company, and its family of companies including U-Haul International, Inc.
