Job summary

Richardson International invites graduates to join Richardson Pioneer as Agribusiness Assistants (ABAs) in a one-year development program. You will explore agronomy, crop inputs, grain handling, sales and operations while building a foundation in budgeting and business planning.

Ideal candidates are graduates in Agriculture or Business with strong initiative, communication and teamwork abilities, plus a valid driver’s license and customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Graduates with Agriculture or Business degree/diploma.
• Interest in working in the agricultural industry and career in agronomy, agribusiness, crop input sales or grain marketing.
• Strong initiative, customer service, leadership, teamwork and communication skills.
• Organized and detail oriented; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience in crop inputs, agronomy, grain handling and grading, and grain marketing.

Agribusiness Assistants (ABAs) will experience a number of challenging positions within our Richardson Pioneer Ag Business Centres. This one-year program is designed to help ABAs identify their specific career path in:

• Operations

Responsibilities:

The Agribusiness Assistant will gain experience in crop inputs, agronomy, grain handling, customer service, grain grading, grain blending, grain marketing, sales, operations management including exposure to budgeting, business planning and scheduling.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an Agriculture or Business degree or diploma program and interest in working in the agricultural industry
• Interest in a career in Agronomy, Agribusiness, Crop Input Sales or Grain Marketing
• Strong sense of initiative
• Excellent customer service
• Leadership skills
• Ability to work as a team
• Organised and detail oriented
• A valid driver's licence is required
