Job summary

Richardson International offers a one-year Agribusiness Assistant development program through Richardson Pioneer, exposing graduates to agronomy, grain marketing, and operations at Western Canada centres.

The program provides hands-on experience across crop inputs, agronomy, grain handling, sales, budgeting and scheduling, along with emphasis on leadership, initiative and customer service.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Agriculture or Business degree or diploma program.
• Interest in working in the agricultural industry.
• Demonstrates initiative and strong customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn across agribusiness areas.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience in crop inputs and agronomy.

Agribusiness Assistants (ABAs) will experience a number of challenging positions within our Richardson Pioneer Ag Business Centres. This one-year program is designed to help ABAs identify their specific career path in:

• Operations

Responsibilities:

The Agribusiness Assistant will gain experience in crop inputs, agronomy, grain handling, customer service, grain grading, grain blending, grain marketing, sales, operations management including exposure to budgeting, business planning and scheduling.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an Agriculture or Business degree or diploma program and interest in working in the agricultural industry
• Interest in a career in Agronomy, Agribusiness, Crop Input Sales or Grain Marketing
• Strong sense of initiative
• Excellent customer service
• Leadership skills
• Ability to work as a team
• Organised and detail oriented
• A valid driver's licence is required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
