Job summary

Richardson International offers a one-year Agribusiness Assistant program (ABAs) for new graduates to gain exposure to major areas within agribusiness and agronomy at Richardson Pioneer.

ABAs will explore roles in agronomy, grain sales, crop inputs, operations, budgeting and scheduling, with mentorship and hands-on experiences across Richardson Pioneer Ag Business Centres.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an Agriculture or Business degree or diploma program
  • Interest in working in the agricultural industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of initiative
  • Ability to work as a team

Responsibilities

  • Gain experience in crop inputs, agronomy, grain handling and grading

Richardson Pioneer offers new graduates a multi-dimensional, one-year development program with exposure to major areas within agribusiness and agronomy. Agribusiness Assistants (ABAs) will experience a number of challenging positions within our Richardson Pioneer Ag Business Centres.

This one-year program is designed to help ABAs identify their specific career path in: Agronomy Agribusiness Grain Sales and Marketing Crop Inputs Operations.

Responsibilities

The Agribusiness Assistant will gain experience in crop inputs, agronomy, grain handling, customer service, grain grading, grain blending, grain marketing, sales, operations management including exposure to budgeting, business planning and scheduling.

Qualifications

Graduate of an Agriculture or Business degree or diploma program and interest in working in the agricultural industry Interest in a career in Agronomy, Agribusiness, Crop Input Sales or Grain Marketing Strong sense of initiative Excellent customer service Leadership skills Ability to work as a team Organized and detail oriented A valid driver's licence is required Strong communication and interpersonal skills
