Job summary

Northern Health is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator for the Fort St. John Hospital to oversee admission, discharge and transfer processes and coordinate patient care across the unit.

You will support bed management, staffing alignment and patient flow while assisting Program Leaders in maintaining quality standards. A strong nursing background and BC College registration are required, with leadership experience valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved School of Nursing.
• Current registration with BCCNM.
• Five years of recent acute care experience with one-year supervisory experience.
• NRP or willingness to complete within one year.
• ACLS/TNCC or willingness to complete in one year.
• PALS would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates admission, discharge and patient transfer processes.
• Coordinates patient/resident care when necessary.
• Supports patient flow through bed allocation and staffing decisions.
• Assists Program Leaders in maintaining care standards and safety.
