Job summary

Northern Health seeks a motivated Registered Nurse to join the Fort St. John Hospital team. The RN will deliver compassionate care, perform assessments, and collaborate with an interprofessional team in an acute medical unit.

Responsibilities include planning, delivering, and evaluating nursing care, while prioritizing resident-focused approaches and ongoing professional development in a dynamic clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing and registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as a practicing RN registrant.
• Ability to complete initial and ongoing patient assessments and provide nursing care with appropriate interventions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, the care team and the public.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an acute medical unit.
• Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to plan and evaluate nursing care.
• Organize and prioritize nursing duties while promoting resident-centered care.
• Incorporate evidence-based practice and health information to guide decisions.
