Job summary

Northern Health is seeking a Nurse Coordinator to share clinical nursing experience, coordinate admissions, discharges and transfers, and lead patient-care operations. The role supports patient flow by allocating beds, ensures staffing levels, and assists leadership in maintaining care standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved School of Nursing.
• Current registration with BCCNM.
• Five years of recent acute care experience with one-year supervisory experience.
• An equivalent combination of education, training and experience in a supervisory role is an asset.
• NRP or willingness to complete within one year.
• ACLS/TNCC or willingness to complete in one year.
• PALS would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate admission, discharge and patient transfer processes.
• Facilitate patient flow through efficient bed allocation and utilization.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels and support quality patient care.
• Assist Program Leaders in maintaining standards of patient care.
• Coordinate operations in the absence of managers and senior staff.
