Job summary

Qualifications

• Current practicing registration as RN with BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Three years of related clinical experience, including one year supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize admissions, manage daily patient flow and discharge planning with the care team.
• Supervise nursing and support staff; coordinate daily operations and staffing.
• Promote interprofessional collaboration and mentor staff in best clinical practices.
• Lead plan of care conferences and rounds for optimal patient care management.
• Provide input into staff education plans and learning objectives.
• Participate in investigations of patient or family concerns and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to quality improvement, risk management and evidence-informed decision support.
