Mier Human Capital is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for an in-office temporary role in York Region, ON. The ideal candidate will handle OCR-driven invoice processing, vendor communications, and ERP-based payments with accuracy.

Requirements include 1–2 years in AP, OCR experience, and a post-secondary diploma in Accounting/Finance/Business. Proficiency in MS Office and strong analytical skills are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment.
• Hands-on experience with OCR (Optical Character Recognition) systems and automated invoice processing.
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• ERP systems experience; exposure to large enterprise platforms is an asset.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other Office apps.
• Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Review and verify invoice data captured through OCR, correcting discrepancies as required.
• Troubleshoot OCR exceptions and support continuous process optimization.
• Prepare, scan, and index paper invoices; assist vendors with electronic submission.
• Perform vendor statement reconciliations and obtain missing invoices.
• Manage the AP inbox and respond to inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
• Maintain accurate vendor master records and update addresses, payment terms, etc.
• Process invoices within an ERP environment; investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies with high accuracy.
