Job summary

Accountivity is hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk in Peel Region, Ontario. This temporary, in-office role pays $20.00–$22.00 per hour and requires a minimum of two years in bookkeeping or AP with strong full-cycle AP knowledge.

You will process up to 600 vendor invoices, manage the AP mailbox, perform three-way matching, and ensure accurate vendor records. The position emphasizes accuracy, timely payments, and documentation control.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounts payable in a similar environment.
• Strong working knowledge of full-cycle accounts payable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Process up to 600 vendor invoices, including non-routine payments such as rental agreements, in accordance with company policies.
• Manage the AP general mailbox; obtain approvals and supporting documentation; perform three-way matching.
• Perform vendor statement and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and prevent late payments.
• Maintain vendor records in compliance with legal and internal requirements.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and communicate with vendors to address inquiries and issues.
• Prepare and record month-end expense accruals for invoices not yet processed with clear documentation.
• Ensure records retention and proper filing of documents, including annual storage following audits.
