Position Overview

Reach is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Support Specialist for a 3-month contract position with the possibility of extension or permanent full-time employment once the contract ends. This role is ideal for someone with a solid bookkeeping and accounts payable foundation who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will support our finance team in managing accounting records, data entry, and intercompany transactions, contributing to the smooth operation of our global business.

Responsibilities

1. Accurately enter and maintain financial data in accounting systems
2. Process accounts payable transactions and assist with reconciliations
3. Calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
4. Support intercompany accounting and multi-currency transactions
5. Prepare and review spreadsheets and reports
6. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
7. Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards

Requirements

• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
• Data entry skills with a knack for numbers
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-currency accounting is an asset
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary accounting software
• Proficiency in English, in MS Office and Google Suite
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• BSc degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or relevant accounting certification
• Experience with Sage X3 and/or Oracle Netsuite is an asset

Location and Hours of Work

This contract position is based in Calgary, AB. The role is full-time (40 hours per week) and follows a hybrid work model, with three days per week in the office.
