Facilitate acquisition of engineering and construction goods and services:
- Schedule RFXs (EOI, RFI, RFQ, RFP); notify stakeholders; assemble RFX documents; conduct pre-bid meetings and bid openings; and prepare agreements.
- Manage contract development through all lifecycle stages (draft, revision, approval, filing, and closeout), ensuring compliance with insurance, legal requirements, and internal processes.
- Prepare contractual agreements based on client needs, selecting the most effective compensation model for each scope.
- Draft contractual terms in legally binding language, aligning with Business Unit objectives.
- Administer active contracts to ensure completion and compliance with deliverables, collaborating with project managers and responsible parties.
- Understand cost-driving variables in scopes of work to negotiate proposals and change orders effectively.
- Assess contractor performance to identify the need for contract amendments.
- Maintain professional interactions with colleagues, contractors, Business Units, and stakeholders.
The successful candidate brings:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Legal Studies, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Deep knowledge of procurement, sourcing, contract documentation, and legal specifications.
- Excellent interpersonal, research, listening, and collaboration skills.
- Legal knowledge, including contract law, with the ability to discuss agreements and implications with legal professionals.
- Proficiency in negotiation best practices, considering cultural norms and company interests.
- Knowledge of union agreements and understanding their impact on compensation.
