Position Overview

Reach is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Support Specialist for a 3-month contract position with the possibility of extension or permanent full-time employment once the contract ends. This role is ideal for someone with a solid bookkeeping and accounts payable foundation who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will support our finance team in managing accounting records, data entry, and intercompany transactions, contributing to the smooth operation of our global business.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and maintain financial data in accounting systems
  • Process accounts payable transactions and assist with reconciliations
  • Calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Support intercompany accounting and multi-currency transactions
  • Prepare and review spreadsheets and reports
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
  • Data entry skills with a knack for numbers
  • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-currency accounting is an asset
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary accounting software
  • Proficiency in English, in MS Office and Google Suite
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • BSc degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or relevant accounting certification
  • Experience with Sage X3 and / or Oracle Netsuite is an asset

Location and Hours of Work

This contract position is based in Calgary, AB. The role is full-time (40 hours per week) and follows a hybrid work model, with three days per week in the office.
