Job summary

Elby Professional Recruitment is seeking an experienced, hands-on Accounts Payable professional to join its client, an established manufacturer in Innisfil, Ontario. The role involves ownership of the AP function and close collaboration with the Finance Manager.

You will check and process supplier invoices, resolve discrepancies, reconcile statements, run payments, and manage employee expenses. The on-site position offers a stable full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Proven AP experience with three-way matching and supplier reconciliations.
• Experience running payment runs through an approval process.
• Experience processing expense claims and credit card reconciliations.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Check and process supplier invoices against purchase orders, agreed pricing and confirmation of receipt of goods or services.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and obtain the required approvals.
• Reconcile supplier statements and clear outstanding items.
• Prepare and process supplier payment runs in line with approval procedures.
• Review and process employee expense claims and corporate credit card statements, following up on missing receipts.
• Keep AP records accurate, organized and audit-ready.
• Work with purchasing, receiving and operations teams to resolve payment queries.
• Other accounting duties as assigned.

Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 per year

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Start: Immediate

Reports to: Finance Manager

About the Opportunity

Our client, an established manufacturer in Innisfil, is looking for an experienced, hands‑on Accounts Payable professional to join its Canadian finance team. You will take ownership of the AP function, working closely with the Finance Manager, and you will be expected to become productive quickly.

What You’ll Do

• Check and process supplier invoices against purchase orders, agreed pricing and confirmation of receipt of goods or services
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and obtain the required approvals
• Reconcile supplier statements and clear outstanding items
• Prepare and process supplier payment runs in line with approval procedures
• Review and process employee expense claims and corporate credit card statements, following up on missing receipts
• Keep AP records accurate, organized and audit-ready
• Work with purchasing, receiving and operations teams to resolve payment queries
• Other accounting duties as assigned

What You Bring

• Proven experience in accounts payable, including three‑way matching and supplier statement reconciliations
• Experience running payment runs under an approval process
• Experience processing expense claims and credit card reconciliations
• Comfort working independently, organizing open items and prioritizing in a fast‑moving environment
• Strong attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication
• Solid Excel skills and experience with an accounting or ERP system
• Experience in a small or mid‑sized manufacturing business is an asset

Work Environment

This is an on‑site position in Innisfil. No hybrid option is currently available.
