Job summary

Nature's Path Foods in Richmond, BC is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. You will handle supplier invoices, expense allocations, vendor file maintenance, and cheque runs in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires accuracy, 40 wpm typing, and experience with ERP software (IFS) or general accounting functions. This position offers a hybrid schedule (Mon-Thu in office, Fri from home) and a salary in the $60,000–$65,000 CAD range with two weeks of paid vacation.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of general accounting functions.
• Intermediate Excel & technical competency.
• Demonstrated experience with ERP or accounting software, preferably IFS.
• Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm with high accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• AP or accounting experience is an asset but not required.
• Experience with reimbursement platforms is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices in a fast-paced environment (approx. 75 invoices per day).
• Verify appropriate expense allocations to departments and general ledger accounts.
• Maintain vendor files and accurate historical records.
• Communicate and manage relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare cheque runs as scheduled and manual cheques as required.
• Review employee expense reports for compliance with policies.
• Assist with maintaining the corporate credit card program.
• Provide backup and support to the Accounts Payable team.
• Assist in documenting AP processes and SOPs.
• Investigate and resolve irregularities or inquiries.
• Process month-end accruals.

• Processing supplier invoices in a fast-paced environment. Your portfolio will be comprised of an estimate of +75 invoices entries a day.
• Verifying appropriate expense allocation to departments and general ledger accounts.
• Maintaining vendor files and accurate historical records.
• Communicating and managing relationships with stakeholders such as vendors or other departments within the organization.
• Preparing cheque runs as scheduled and manual cheques as required.
• Reviewing employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Assisting with maintaining the corporate credit card program.
• Providing backup and support to the rest of the Accounts Payable team.
• Assisting in documentation of A/P processes and systems, including the creation and maintenance of training and reference materials (e.g., developing and refining SOPs).
• Investigating and resolving irregularities or enquiries.
• Processing month-end accruals.

• This role is Monday - Thursday in office (Richmond, BC) with Fridays working from home.
• This opportunity will pay between $60,000 - $65,000 and two weeks paid vacation.
