Salary Range:

Central City Brewers and Distillers is a craft brewery in the business of developing and selling international award-winning premium craft beer and high-quality distilled spirits brewed without compromise. Based in Surrey, British Columbia, CCBD was voted Canada Best Brewery of the Year in 2010 and 2012. Its Red Racer brand has become a cult icon among craft beer enthusiasts throughout North America. Founded in 2003 as a brewpub and liquor store in downtown Surrey, CCBD celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2013 with the grand opening of a brand new, 68,000 sq. ft. brewery and distillery on Bridgeview Drive. In 2019 we opened a 40,000 sq. ft. storage facility with approximately 2000 barrels of whiskey ageing in this facility. We are proud of being a local-Canadian Brewery that is currently expanding.

JOB SUMMARY

The Accounts Payable Administrator will perform accounting and clerical duties primarily related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. This position reports directly to the CFO and supports the finance team. This is a 2-month contract-based position with possibility of extension.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assemble, review, and verify invoices
  2. Communicate with other department/business unit managers to acquire appropriate approvals
  3. Flag, investigate and communicate any unusual or questionable invoices with relevant managers
  4. Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  5. Sort, code, and match invoices
  6. Enter invoices into SAP
  7. Prepare EFT and WIRE payment requests
  8. Prepare and perform weekly check runs
  9. Reconcile AP sub-ledger to general ledger, investigate and solve any differences
  10. Prepare analysis of accounts
  11. Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
  12. Produce monthly reports
  13. Assist with month end closing
  14. Assist with audits
  15. Consistently review current AP processes and make recommendations on automation and process improvement
  16. Matching invoices to the PO/GRPO
  17. Identifying Chargeback from the invoices
  18. Other assigned administration and accounting tasks

QUALIFICATIONS/DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

  1. 2+ years accounts payable or general accounting experience
  2. SAP or other ERP experience desirable
  3. Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite, intermediate Excel skills
  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  5. Detail oriented, strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
