Psychotherapist Independent Contractor (RP, RPQ, MSW RSW)

We are seeking an MSW RSW registered with the OCSWSSW, a Registered Psychotherapist, or a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) registered with the CRPO to provide therapy for BIPOC folks. The successful candidate will be hired as an independent contractor and will have the opportunity to create their schedule based on their availability.

About Us

Risha, the founder of Risha Dave Psychotherapy, is passionate about providing mental health care that is both trauma-focused and attachment-based to South Asian folks and other marginalized identities. Her vision is to be a soft place to land for individuals who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences and are navigating life transitions and relationships in their adulthood. Risha envisions her team helping to provide services to those who have a difficult time finding a therapist with whom they can relate.

Role Description

This is a remote role for a Registered Psychotherapist Independent Contractor. The role involves performing day-to-day psychotherapy sessions for adults, maintaining proper documentation, and ensuring the well-being of clients.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
• Licensed as a Registered Psychotherapist, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), or Registered Social Worker and in good standing
• Must hold 5M liability insurance
• Must apply anti-racist, anti-oppressive, gender-affirming, and trauma-informed practices
• Experience in conducting individual and couple's therapy
• Knowledge and experience with bottom-up therapeutic approaches
• Strong understanding of ethics and boundaries in therapy
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
• Ability to provide services in Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Gujarati, or another language is an asset
• Knowledge and experience with addiction and substance use is an asset
• Ability to provide family therapy is an asset
• Passion for working with BIPOC and/or Queer folks; personal lived experience is a strong asset
