MNP is a leading Canadian accounting, tax and advisory firm. We are seeking an Accountant to deliver comprehensive financial information to clients and support assurance and accounting services in a dynamic environment.

The team emphasizes entrepreneurial spirit and collaborative problem solving as it helps clients navigate evolving reporting landscapes, including IFRS, GAAP and ASPE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration (accounting/finance preferred).
• Prerequisites for CPA PEP upon starting employment.
• Previous accounting office experience is an asset.
• Customer service experience is an asset.
• Experience with accounting and tax software is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax.
• Apply IFRS/GAAP/ASPE knowledge.
• Set up files for new clients and manage multiple files.
• Conduct AR/AP, payroll walkthrough with clients.
• Prepare balance sheets, P&L and reports.
• Review discrepancies in financial entries and reports.
• Prepare posting entries and charts of accounts.
• Draft correspondence and client engagement summaries.
• Collaborate with client teams and relationships.
