Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in Mississauga is seeking an accounting professional with 2+ years of full-cycle accounting to support month-end close and financial reporting.

You will perform reconciliations, analytical reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy. Advanced Excel skills are required, and candidates must reside in the Greater Toronto Area and be eligible to work in Canada.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of full-cycle accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete TMS interface batch reconciliations and postings.
• Ensure timely month-end procedures: invoice postings, cost allocations, accruals, intercompany transactions.
• Develop checks-and-balances tools within month-end processes for reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information for updates to month-end reporting.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations; analyze discrepancies and communicate findings.
• Reconcile data between billing systems and ERP to ensure data integrity.
• Conduct financial analysis to support ongoing financial operations.
• Participate in system implementation/migration and process improvements.
• Assist with interim and year-end audit preparation.
• Support additional reporting needs, including external customer reporting.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting process.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain required information promptly and ensure updates are incorporated into month-end reporting procedures.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations in a timely manner; analyze, investigate, and resolve discrepancies, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Perform reconciliations between various billing systems and the ERP to ensure data integrity.
• Conduct financial analysis to support ongoing financial operations.
• Participate in system implementation/migration and process-improvement projects.
• Assist with interim and year-end audit preparation.
