Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking an experienced accountant to handle the full-cycle AR process and manage fixed assets. Candidates should have 3–5 years of accounting experience and a degree or diploma in Accounting. The role includes responsibilities like customer account reconciliations and supporting month-end and year-end processes. This position is exclusive to candidates currently residing in the Greater Toronto Area. Opportunities for bonuses and benefits are available.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end AR process including invoicing and payment posting.

• Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support Operations on Monthly Inventory counts.
• Perform inventory reserve calculations for accounting.
• Perform bank, balance sheet, AR, inventory, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing, including journals and accruals.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end AR process, including invoicing, payment posting, credit control, and customer account reconciliations.
• Monitor customer aging reports, follow up on overdue accounts, and coordinate with the sales and operations teams to resolve disputes.
• Ensure compliance with company credit policies and assist in optimizing cash flow.
• Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register.
• Oversee capital expenditure (CAPEX) tracking, asset capitalization, depreciation, and disposals in accordance with company and statutory policies.
• Support operations team on Monthly Inventory counts.
• Perform Inventory reserve calculation for submission to the Accounting Manager.
• Perform bank, balance sheet, accounts receivable, inventory, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis.

About You

• 3–5 years of full cycle accounting experience
• Degree or Diploma in Accounting or related field
• Experience with AR and collections, as well as fixed assets
• Pivot table and v-lookups knowledge
