MacDonald Search Group invites applications for an Account Manager to join our Edmonton team on behalf of a well-established electrical distribution client. You will focus on developing new business while strengthening relationships with an established customer base.

The role requires a driven sales professional with a technical background and the ability to identify customer needs, present solutions, and close opportunities. Travel across the Alberta territory is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant sales or industry experience.
• Strong business development and relationship-management skills.
• Proven hunter mentality with a drive to win new business.
• Experience in electrical wholesale, distribution or a related industry.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Excellent organization, time management and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Technical or business diploma/degree is an asset.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business through proactive prospecting and territory development.
• Manage and grow relationships with existing customers.
• Promote a broad range of products and solutions to meet customer needs.
• Prepare quotes, estimates and proposals and negotiate pricing and terms.
• Develop account plans and strategies to achieve revenue targets.
• Collaborate with internal sales specialists and branch teams.
• Participate in customer meetings, presentations, trade shows and industry events.
