Neelands Group Limited in Barrie is seeking a 313A HVAC Service Technician (Apprentice Term 4, 5 or Journeyman) to join our team for repair, installation and preventative maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems, with after-hours on-call.

The candidate should hold 313A Apprentice (Term 4/5) or Journeyman with Valid Refrigeration and Gas Licenses, Ozone Depletion Prevention certificate, and a clean G license; strong communication and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency (read/write/speak).
• 313A Apprentice (Term 4 or 5) is required.
• Valid Refrigeration License (313A) and Gas License are required.
• Ozone Depletion Prevention certificate is required.
• G license with a clean driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls and scheduled maintenance for refrigeration and mechanical equipment.
• Diagnostics to detect malfunctions in equipment such as RTUs, MUA’s, Boilers, and light refrigeration.
• Troubleshoot to ensure the system functions properly after repairs.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs and maintenance on HVAC and mechanical equipment.
• Communicate updates to the team regarding assignments.

The Position:

Neelands is searching for a 313A HVAC Service Technician (Apprentice Term 4, 5 or Journeyman) to join our team servicing the Barrie area. This position is regular, full-time.

Reporting to the Service Manager, HVAC, the Service Technician will work closely with the team on repair, install, troubleshoot and preventative maintenance of HVAC & refrigeration systems. This role requires the individual to be available during the weekdays from 7:30am – 5:30pm for “on-call” and after-hours service calls from dispatch and/or prescheduled assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Response to service calls and scheduled maintenance and repairs for refrigeration and mechanical equipment;
• Perform diagnostics to detect malfunctions and defects in equipment such as RTU’s, MUA’s, Boilers, Light refrigeration
• Troubleshoot to ensure the system is functioning properly following repairs;
• Perform schedule and unscheduled repair and maintenance on HVAC, and mechanical equipment;
• Effectively communicate and update all information regarding assignments to the team;
• Provide recommendations and assist estimator with information on quote;
• Build and maintain positive relationship with customers or clients;
• Maintain service vehicle inventory and cleanliness;
• Other duties as required

• 313A Apprentice (Term 4 or 5)
• Valid 313A Refrigeration License
• Gas License
• Ozone Depletion Prevention certificate;
• Valid G license with a clean driver abstract;
• English language proficiency (read/write/speak);
