Job summary

Neelands Group Limited is seeking a Refrigeration Construction Foreman to join the Burlington, Ontario team. This regular, full-time union position provides a comprehensive compensation package and oversight for field staff from construction to turnover.

You will lead refrigeration technicians, interpret blueprints, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and coordinate with project managers to deliver projects on time and within spec.

Qualifications

• Licensed 313A mechanic.
• Minimum 7 years refrigeration installation experience with 2 years as foreman.
• Experience with supermarket refrigeration is asset.
• CO2 system installation experience is asset.
• Experience with control systems.
• Electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of TSSA regulations and procedures.
• Valid G driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
• Ability to travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of refrigeration technicians and apprentices, ensuring training, guidance and support.
• Uphold safety standards on job sites in line with company policies and Ontario regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure proper specifications are followed.
• Accurately measure and lay out plans for installation.
• Assemble and install refrigeration systems, cold storage units, piping and related components.
• Ensure necessary materials are on hand and readily available.
• Maintain regular communication with project managers with project status updates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Position:

Neelands Group Limited is searching for a Refrigeration Construction Foreman to join our team at the Burlington, Ontario location. This is a regular, full-time union position with a full union compensation package. The Refrigeration Construction Foreman will report to the Construction Manager and will provide field staff with technical support helping to ensure a smooth turnover from the construction phase to service.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of refrigeration technicians and apprentices, ensuring proper training, guidance, and support.
• Uphold safety standards on job sites, ensuring adherence to company safety policies and Ontario regulations
• Carefully read and interpret blueprints to ensure proper specifications are being followed
• Accurately measure and layout plan for installation
• Assemble and install refrigeration systems, cold storage units, refrigeration piping and related components
• Ensure the necessary materials required for the project are on hand and readily available
• Maintain regular communication with project managers, providing updates on the status of the project
• Other duties as assigned
