Rush Truck Centres of Canada is seeking Licensed or Apprentice Diesel Mechanics Level 3/Technicians for the Ottawa East dealership at 2716 Sheffield Rd., Ottawa, ON. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Service Manager.

Responsibilities include diagnosing problems, repairing trucks and related vehicles, reading job orders, documenting work, and maintaining OHSA compliance. SAP experience is a plus; AZ/DZ license is an asset.

Qualifications

• OHSA compliance knowledge and safe work practices.
• Ability to read job orders and diagnose vehicle issues.
• Experience documenting repair steps and outcomes.
• Familiarity with automotive diesel systems preferred.

We are looking for Licensed or Apprentice Diesel Mechanics Level 3/Techniciansfor our Ottawa East dealership located at 2716 Sheffield Rd., Ottawa, ON K1B 3V9. This is a full-time permanent position.

Reporting to the Service Manager, this position is responsible for diagnosing problems and making repairs to all types of trucks, buses, trailers, and other automotive vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment
• Read job order, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Document work performed.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts and specified safety devices on trucks and make adjustments as needed.
• Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty.
• Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Other duties may be assigned

Basic Qualifications

• Licensed or Registered Apprentice (310T or 310S)

• Valid Driver's License and a good driving record
