Rush Truck Centres of Canada, part of Rush Enterprises, is hiring a licensed or apprentice diesel mechanic for our Oshawa dealership at 787 Bloor St. W., Oshawa, ON. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Service Manager.

You will diagnose problems and repair trucks, buses, and trailers, while following OHSA regulations and maintaining a safe work environment. Competitive wages and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed or Registered Apprentice (310T or 310S) is required.
• Good communication skills and positive work attitude.
• Quality-driven approach is expected.
• SAP experience is an asset.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Criminal record check is required.
• AZ/DZ license is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and repair trucks, buses, trailers and other vehicles.
• Follow OHSA regulations and company health and safety policies.
• Read job orders and plan work procedures.
• Perform general and detailed repairs on engines and components.
• Document work performed.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Inspect safety devices and make adjustments as needed.
• Attend training and review factory bulletins.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are looking for Licensed or Apprentice Diesel Mechanics Level 3/Techniciansfor our Oshawa dealership located at 787 Bloor St. W., Oshawa, ON L1J 5Y6. This is a full-time permanent position.

Reporting to the Service Manager, this position is responsible for diagnosing problems and making repairs to all types of trucks, buses, trailers, and other automotive vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment
• Read job order, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Document work performed.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts and specified safety devices on trucks and make adjustments as needed.
• Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty.
• Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Other duties may be assigned
