Job summary

Mazzei Electric Ltd. is hiring 2nd to 4th year apprentice electricians in Nanaimo, BC, to join our growing team on commercial, residential and light industrial projects across Vancouver Island and beyond.

You will perform conduit bending, read drawings, drill and pull cable, and uphold safety on every site while advancing your trade skills.

Compensation ranges from $24.00/hour to $34.00/hour, with health and dental benefits after three months and RRSP matching after one year.

Qualifications

• Electrical field experience required.
• Must be registered as an apprentice through SkilledTrades BC.
• Commercial/residential construction experience an asset.
• Basic and cordless power tools experience.
• Valid class 5 driver’s license preferred.
• Willing to work out of town, longer shifts, and/or evening shifts.
• Adequate knowledge of the CEC.

Responsibilities

• Conduit bending.
• Reading and interpreting drawings and schematics.
• Drilling and cable-pulling.
• Punctual and reliable presence on worksites.
• Follow safety programs and policies, wear appropriate PPE, and attend safety training as required.
• Present a positive, can-do attitude in the workplace and with our clients.
• Cutting in and splicing switches/receptacles/lights.
• Use of standard construction power tools.

We are currently hiring for 2nd to 4th Year Apprentice Electricians in Nanaimo, BC and the surrounding areas. Compensation for this role ranges from $24.00/hour to $34.00/hour, health and dental benefits after three months, and RRSP matching after one year. When you factor these together the total compensation ranges from $26.47 to $36.77.
