Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled 3rd, 4th or 5th year Apprentice Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems while adhering to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
  • Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Perform general electrical maintenance.
  • Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
  • Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
  • Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
  • Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.
  • Good knowledge of various test equipment.
Requirements
  • Working on an electrical apprenticeship.
  • Experience working as an electrician.
  • High school diploma.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Working on Electrician degree from a technical college.
  • Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints, and maintenance and repair knowledge.
  • Experience in residential, commercial, and/or industrial electrical systems.
  • Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter, etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
  • Must be willing to travel within Canada.
Qualifications
  • Trade certification.
  • Nearing completion of a four to five year apprenticeship program.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong leadership and project management abilities.
  • Proficient in estimating costs and time of electrical repairs and installations.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and the Canadian Electrical Code (ECE).
  • Proficiency in using power tools.
