Job summary

OZZ Electric BC on Vancouver Island is seeking a Journeyperson Electrician to join our growing team on high-rise residential and commercial projects. You will mentor apprentices and assist foremen on site to help deliver state-of-the-art constructions for our clients, with a local Nanaimo focus.

Applicants must hold a Journeyperson Electrician ticket (Red Seal an asset) and have strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Electrician ticket (Red Seal an asset).
• Experience on high-rise and/or commercial construction projects.
• Good knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and local requirements.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Installing electrical equipment based on blueprints and in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code specifications.
• Connecting wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
• Terminating wiring in generators, transfer switches, and junction devices.
• Observing functions of installed equipment to detect hazards and the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
• Testing continuity of circuits to ensure integrity and safety.

OZZ Electric BC is an industry leading contractor working on exciting high-rise residential and commercial projects across the lower mainland. You will join our growing team as a key member on the tools, both mentoring apprentices and assisting foremen, in order to help build state-of-the-art projects for our clients. Please note, we are expanding to Nanaimo. We are looking for people to join us on Vancouver Island.

Responsibilities

• Installing electrical equipment based on blueprints and in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code specifications

Educational And Professional Requirements

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Typical 5-day work week; overtime may be required to meet construction deadlines
• Local work in Nanaimo
