Osprey Electric Ltd on Vancouver Island seeks Level 1–4 Electrical Apprentices to join our growing team in the Comox Valley. You will learn from experienced Journeypersons while gaining hands-on experience across residential, commercial, and multi-residential projects on Central Vancouver Island.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and mentorship, with opportunity for growth as our company expands. A valid Class 5 license and reliable transport are required.

Qualifications

• Currently registered as Level 1–4 Electrical Apprentice.
• Minimum 1,500 hours of electrical experience.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
• Experience in residential, commercial, or multi-residential projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with residential, commercial, and multi-residential electrical projects.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems under supervision.
• Complete rough-ins, finishing work, panel installations, lighting, and equipment installations.
• Pull wire, install devices, and assist with service work.
• Read and interpret basic electrical drawings and project specifications.
• Follow safety standards and professional communication on site.

As an apprentice at Osprey Electric, you'll work alongside experienced Red Seal Journeypersons and Foremenwho are committed to mentoring the next generation of electricians. You'll gain valuable hands‑on experience while working on residential, commercial, and multi-residential electrical projects throughout Central Vancouver Island.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our team, you'll assist with a wide range of electrical installations while continuing to build your skills and experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with residential, commercial, and multi-residential electrical projects

Installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems under the supervision of experienced electricians

Completing rough‑ins, finishing work, panel installations, lighting, and electrical equipment installations

Pulling wire, installing devices, and assisting with service work

Reading and interpreting basic electrical drawings and project specifications

Using hand and power tools safely and effectively

Working safely on construction sites, ladders, lifts, and rooftops when required

Maintaining clean, organized, and professional worksites

Communicating professionally with customers, contractors, and team members

Following the Canadian Electrical Code and Osprey Electric's safety standards

Continuing to develop your skills through mentorship, training, and hands‑on experience

What We're Looking For

We're looking for apprentices who are motivated to learn, work hard, and become exceptional electricians.

Qualifications include:

Registered Level 1–4 Electrical Apprentice

Minimum 1,500 hoursof electrical experience

Valid Class 5 Driver's License

Previous residential, commercial, or multi-residential experience is considered an asset

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Positive attitude and strong communication skills

Reliable, organized, and dependable

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Safety‑focused with pride in delivering quality workmanship

Professional and respectful when working with customers and fellow trades
