Job summary

Near North District School Board in Ontario invites applications for a 7/8 Extended French and Core French LTO position from November 3, 2026 to early return of the teacher. This temporary assignment requires Ontario teaching certification and registration.

Successful candidates will support literacy and numeracy, integrate technology, and collaborate with staff to meet diverse learner needs using EDSBY for communications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Ministry Curriculum and Assessment documents
• Demonstrated experience with Apple based software and Mobile devices (iPad/MacBook/iMac)
• Evidence of understanding of varied learners with a focus on ‘at-risk’ students
• Evidence of supporting Literacy and Numeracy from a whole school perspective
• Evidence of integration of technology for the documentation and evaluation of student work
• Ability to work as part of a school team and to communicate effectively
• Demonstrated ability to utilize EDSBY to support student learning and guardian communication
