Job summary

Near North District School Board invites applications for a Long‑Term Occasional Grade 6/7/8 Teacher position from October 15, 2026 to the early return of the current teacher.

The successful candidate will hold a valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate and Registration, possess knowledge of the Ministry Curriculum, and demonstrate experience with Apple devices. They will support diverse learners, literacy and numeracy, and effective guardian communication across the school community.

Qualifications

• Possesses knowledge of the Ministry Curriculum and Assessment documents.
• Demonstrated experience with Apple-based software and mobile devices (iPad/MacBook/iMac).
• Demonstrated ability to support diverse learners with a focus on at-risk students.
• Evidence of supporting literacy and numeracy from a whole-school perspective.
• Evidence of integrating technology for documenting and evaluating student work.
• Able to work as part of a school team and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to use EDSBY for student learning and guardian communication.
