Job summary

Near North District School Board invites applications for a long-term occasional (LTO) position for Primary/Junior Prep from immediate start to June 30, 2026 or until early return of the teacher.

Required qualifications include the Ontario College of Teachers Certificate and a valid Certification of Registration with the OCT, plus Primary/Junior qualifications. Successful candidate will support literacy and numeracy, leverage Apple-based tools, and use EDSBY to communicate with guardians.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Ontario Ministry Curriculum and Assessment documents.
• Experience with Apple-based software and Mobile devices (iPad/MacBook/iMac).
• Experience supporting varied learners, especially at-risk students.
• Ability to document and evaluate student work using technology.
• Ability to communicate effectively within a school team and with guardians.
