Right Recruit Pte. Ltd. is actively seeking a Tooling Engineer to support NPI initiatives for medical device and automotive tooling projects. The role requires experience in injection moulding tooling, design reviews, and production readiness testing.
You will coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure successful tool qualification, trials, and handover to production, while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Our client (MNC)is a global advanced precision engineering & manufacturing company for Medical devices and Automotive industries.They are actively looking for Tooling Engineer- NPI Support.
Reports To: Senior Tooling Engineer
Summary
Responsible for supporting the successful introduction of new tooling projects from concept through production launch.
The role provides technical expertise in mould design reviews, tooling validation, qualification activities, and production readiness.
Responsibilities
New Product Introduction (NPI)
Support new tooling projects from design approval through production release.
Participate in DFM reviews to ensure manufacturability and robust tooling design.
Review mould designs and provide technical feedback to internal teams and suppliers.
Support tooling supplier selection, technical evaluations, and quotation reviews.
Monitor tooling build progress and ensure project milestones are achieved.
Coordinate tooling trials, validation activities, and production readiness reviews.
Support mould acceptance activities including T0, T1, T2, FAT, SAT, and final buy-off.
Ensure tooling documentation is complete and transferred to production teams.
Tool Qualification & Validation
Support mould qualification activities in accordance with project requirements.
Coordinate tooling trials with Process Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
Investigate tooling-related issues identified during validation activities.
Support implementation of corrective actions to achieve production approval.
Ensure tooling meets cycle time, quality, and productivity targets prior to release.
Supplier & Project Management
Liaise with tooling suppliers throughout the tool build process.
Track tooling project schedules and elevate risks affecting project delivery.
Support supplier visits, technical reviews, and progress meetings.
Assist in managing tooling modifications and engineering changes.
Ensure lessons learned are captured and applied to future programmes.
Production & Launch Support
Provide technical support during pilot production and product launch activities.
Support resolution of tooling-related issues impacting production performance.
Assist manufacturing teams with tooling optimisation and troubleshooting.
Support implementation of approved tooling improvements where required.
Ensure successful handover of tooling projects into normal production operations.
Technicial Responsibilities
Support tooling design reviews and manufacturability assessments.
Review tooling specifications and technical documentation.
Assist with root cause investigations relating to tooling performance issues.
Support standardisation of tooling components and design practices.
Maintain accurate tooling project records and technical documentation.
Requirements
Degree, Diploma, or recognised apprenticeship in Toolmaking, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Min 5 years' experience in injection moulding tooling, toolmaking, or tooling engineering.
Experience supporting NPI, tooling validation, or industrialisation projects.
Strong understanding of injection mould design and tooling manufacture.
Experience working with external tooling suppliers.
Knowledge of mould trials, qualification activities, and production launch processes.
