Sinch is seeking a backend engineer to design, build, and maintain high-performance, distributed services running on the JVM with Java and Kotlin. You will work with Spring, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, and MySQL, ensuring observability and reliability at scale.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to a high-quality, secure codebase. Familiarity with AWS and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes) is expected.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Systems Analysis, or related fields.
• Production-level backend development experience using JVM/Java.
• Knowledge in SQL and NoSQL databases such as Redis and MySQL.
• Knowledge in asynchronous message processing using Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Deep understanding of the Spring Framework and distributed systems.

DESCRIPTION

In order to contribute to this role, you need to have experience in backend development and be an expert in distributed systems that process a high volume of information, that demand high performance and reliability. You must have experience with databases technologies, queue systems, and streams. In addition, you will also be one of the responsible for sharing knowledge with the team to build and maintain a high-performance team.

Main responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services;
• Build high-performance, scalable, and distributed systems;
• Work with Java, Spring, Reactor, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis and MySQL to enhance our product, ensuring safety, efficiency, and responsiveness;
• Maintain and collaborate on internal tools for monitoring, debugging, and optimizing applications at scale;
• Ensure observability, reliability, and fault tolerance across all services;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Software Engineers, UX Designers and Product Managers;
• Maintain a strong focus on code quality, security, and best practices in software development;
