Sinch AB is hiring a data engineer to design and optimize scalable data pipelines for multiple platforms, coordinating global data integration across Sinch products. You will act as a technical reference, delivering high-quality ETL/ELT solutions and guiding cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong Python, Spark, SQL, and cloud experience (AWS or GCP), plus hands-on work with Databricks, Snowflake, and modern data architectures. Remote worldwide, English communication essential.

DESCRIPTION

Remote position – You will design and optimize scalable data pipelines and modern data architectures, leading global data integration across Sinch products. Act as a technical reference while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality ETL/ELT solutions and drive data‑driven product evolution.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable and reliable data pipelines across multiple platforms.

Lead data integration efforts across Sinch products worldwide.

Develop and maintain high‑quality ETL/ELT processes and modern data architectures.

Optimize data workflows, databases, and pipelines for performance and scalability.

Identify strategic opportunities to evolve products, architecture, and business processes through data.

Act as a technical reference, guiding team members through code reviews and project leadership.

Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

Strong experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar technical role.

Solid programming skills and proficiency with Python, Spark, Git, CI/CD, and Docker.

Advanced SQL expertise and experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.

Hands‑on experience with Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and modern data architectures.

Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS or GCP) and tools like Databricks, Snowflake, or Delta Lake.

Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster .

Fluent English for communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
