Jobtailor is seeking a SQL Server Database Specialist in São Paulo to ensure data availability, performance, and integrity across production environments. You will analyze workloads, optimize queries, monitor resources, and support developers in creating efficient queries and proper index usage.

You will also participate in architecture reviews and maintenance routines. The role demands hands-on experience with Profiler, Query Store, and Git/GitHub, plus a degree.

Qualificações

• Experience with SQL Server; profiling tools like Profiler and Query Store recommended.
• Hands-on query tuning and index optimization.
• Git version control experience.
• Completed higher education degree.
• Knowledge of consortium-based financial services is a plus.
• Knowledge of application integrations is a plus.
• Experience with GitHub is a plus.
• Knowledge of AI development is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates expertise in SQL Server database management, including performance tuning, execution plan analysis, and index optimization.
• Capable of supporting developers with efficient query creation and ensuring data integrity and availability through effective maintenance routines.
• Monitor and resolve performance issues, deadlocks, and bottlenecks in production environments.
• Document procedures and technical decisions and contribute to database architecture reviews.

• Work with SQL Server databases, ensuring data availability, performance, and integrity
• Analyze workloads, identify problematic queries, and investigate performance regressions
• Analyze execution plans and optimize indexes to improve performance and scalability
• Monitor CPU, memory, I/O, waits, locking, and blocking metrics
• Investigate and resolve deadlocks, TempDB contention, parameter sniffing, and application slowdowns caused by database dependencies
• Create, review, and support maintenance routines, including backups, restores, statistics updates, and index rebuilds/reorganizations
• Participate in database architecture design and reviews
• Support developers in creating efficient queries, physical data modeling, and proper index usage
• Handle critical incidents and perform troubleshooting to ensure environment stability
• Document procedures, technical decisions, and implemented improvements

Requirements

• Experience with SQL Server, including the use of analysis tools such as Profiler and Query Store
• Hands-on experience with query tuning, execution plan analysis, and index optimization
• Experience with Git and version control processes
• Completed higher education degree
