Jobtailor in Belo Horizonte, Brazil seeks a student to assist with database management tasks including installation, configuration, backup procedures, and performance analysis. You will work with Linux and Windows servers, programming languages, and potentially Oracle databases, supporting incident analysis and system improvements.

This role offers hands-on experience with client projects while you study, under supervision from senior team members in a dynamic environment.

Qualificações

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in Computer Networks, IT, CS, IS, or related field with expected graduation in 2028 or later.
• Knowledge of databases.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows servers.
• Knowledge of a programming language.
• Knowledge of Oracle databases is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with installation, uninstallation, and configuration of client database management software according to guidelines and processes specific to each contracted service.
• Assist in defining database backup and restore procedures for clients, to be carried out by the responsible teams.
• Assist with applying vendor-recommended patches to support system adjustments, improvements, and version updates for database management systems.
• Assist in evaluating new versions of clients’ database management systems and their potential implications for existing processes.
• Support the extraction of reports from database management systems recommended by manufacturers to analyze and identify potential or actual incidents, implementing the indicated adjustments or engaging the teams responsible for application systems to resolve them.
• Assist in evaluating generated reports to verify that databases are operating within established space and capacity limits.
• Assist in analyzing client system tables and assessing their identified level of consistency.
• Assist in analyzing database performance, implementing or proposing adjustments to meet defined objectives.

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Networks, Infrastructure, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, with expected graduation in 2028 or later
• Knowledge of databases
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows servers
• Knowledge of a programming language
• Knowledge of Oracle databases is a plus
