R.J.Crocker Consultants Pte Ltd is seeking a Civil/Structural Project Engineer to assist senior PMs in day-to-day contract management and on-site supervision in a Brazil region project.

You will advise on quality and safety, coordinate non-conformances with the Contractor, and ensure works follow drawings, specifications and programme while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualificações

• Bachelor or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Experience in project/construction environments with on-site oversight.
• Proactive team player with good analytical and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist PM and senior PM in day-to-day management of the contract.
• Advise on site quality and safety issues.
• Determine non-conformances and liaise with Contractor to rectify them.
• Ensure decisions on site issues are conveyed to the Contractor promptly.
• Ensure works comply with specifications, drawings and programme.
• Provide feedback on quality and safety and suggest improvements.
• Supervise installation and monitoring of instrumentation.
• Lead a team of supervisors for full-time on-site supervision.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned by supervisor or client.

Job Description

• Assist Principal Project Manager (PRPM)/ Senior Project Manager (SPM)/ Project Manager (PM) in day-to-day management of the contract.
• Advise the PRPM/SPM/PM on site quality and safety issues.
• Determine any non-conformances on works.
• Liaise with Contractor to rectify any non-conformances and document them properly.
• Ensure that decisions on site issues are conveyed to the Contractor within a reasonable time frame.
• Ensure that works are carried out according to specifications, drawings and programme without compromising on quality and safety.
• Provide feedback to the PRPM/SPM/PM on quality and safety matters and suggest quality improvement measures for implementation on site.
• Supervise installation of instrumentation and monitoring of instrumentation.
• Lead a team of supervisors to ensure full time supervision of works on site.
• Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by supervisor / client.

Job Requirement

• Minimum Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in project/construction environment
• Proficient in relevant software programmes for planning and project work
• Pro-active team player with good analytical and communication skills
• Required to have at least 2 years of viaduct and/or flyover construction experience
