JCVL PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced site supervisor/Resident Technical Officer to oversee construction activities on projects in the Região Norte, Brazil. You will ensure compliance with plans, monitor quality, and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and agencies.

Your role includes supervising critical works, reporting instrumentation results, managing defect rectification, and maintaining comprehensive records while upholding safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma in C&S discipline from a Polytechnic or equivalent.
• Valid 2025/26 RTO Certification accredited by IES.
• 5 years of relevant experience as RTO, with at least 3 years in supervision of: deep excavation, drainage, pipe jacking, ground improvement, monitoring instrumentation, or viaduct/road/expressway works.

Responsabilités

• Perform all roles and responsibilities required of site supervisors and resident technical officers under BCA.
• Supervise timely execution of works, maintain quality, and ensure compliance with contract documents and statutory requirements.
• Ensure structural elements or critical works follow approved plans.
• Supervise installations and instruments, then analyse and report instrumentation results.
• Prepare defect lists and monitor rectification progress to close defects.
• Check quality of works, materials and samples, rectify non-conformities, and report to OIC.
• Attend site meetings and keep minutes; coordinate among SO reps, main contractors, other contractors, consultants, and agencies.
• Inspect handing/taking over of completed works and keep updated records.
• Review safety, environmental, and health matters; work with safety team to maintain high site safety.
• Any other adhoc duties.

Job Description & Requirements

• Perform all roles and responsibilities required of site supervisors, resident technical officers under BCA
• Supervise timely execution of the works and maintain quality control and ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the contract specifications, drawings, allocated timeframe, all other contract documents and site instructions, and statutory requirements and specifications
• Ensure that structural elements or critical works are being carried out in accordance with approved plans
• Supervise all necessary and relevant installations, including of instruments — then analyse & report on instrumentation results
• Prepare defect lists, monitor progress of rectification works and ensure all defects are satisfactorily rectified
• Check on quality of works, materials and samples delivered to site, take measures to rectify any non-compliance and report to OIC on any materials not conforming to specifications
• Provide all necessary and relevant endorsements
• Attend site, progress, variation, QAQC and coordination meetings and to keep proper minutes of these meetings
• Communicate & coordinate effectively and efficiently between multiple parties: SO representative(s), main contractor(s), other contractor(s), consultant(s) & relevant agencies
• Inspect and assist with handing/taking over of completed works by other contracts
• Ensure that proper and updated records of all works are kept
• Review and supervise safety, environmental and health matters
• Working with the safety team, ensure that safety on site maintains at a maximum level
• Any other adhoc duties

Criteria

• Diploma in C&S discipline from a Polytechnic or Equivalent
• Have a valid 2025/26 RTO Certification accredited by IES
• 5 years of relevant experience as RTO, of which at least 3 years shall be in supervision of:

1. Deep excavation, drainage, pipe jacking, ground improvement, supervising & installation of monitoring instruments and collating of monitoring dataand/or,
2. Viaduct, road/expressway works
3. Road & Pavement Experience

• Shift work, including night shift
