PERSOL Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Head of Information Technology to lead the technology transformation across Freight Forwarding and Contract Logistics. You will drive the IT portfolio, modernize core platforms, and deliver measurable business value through data visibility and innovation.

You will oversee the full lifecycle of strategic IT initiatives, ensure cybersecurity and compliance, and mentor a high-performing IT team while collaborating with Regional Operations, Finance, and HR teams.

Qualificações

• 15+ years of progressive IT experience with leadership in IT projects and transformation.
• Experience in enterprise system implementations and digital transformation programs.
• Logistics, freight forwarding or contract logistics exposure is highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related IT/engineering discipline.

Responsabilidades

• Define, prioritize, and execute the IT roadmap for Freight Forwarding and Contract Logistics.
• Partner with stakeholders to drive digital transformation, automation, and improvements.
• Champion AI adoption and ensure responsible implementation of new tech.
• Lead the full lifecycle of strategic IT initiatives: requirements, design, planning, budget, vendors, testing and deployment.
• Drive continuous improvement across logistics functions such as warehousing, transport, and reporting.
• Lead implementation and optimization of CargoWise, WMS, Salesforce, BI platforms, and integrations.
• Build partnerships across Operations, Commercial, Finance, HR, Quality, and regional teams.
• Ensure cybersecurity, data privacy, access governance, disaster recovery, and compliance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team.

About the role

As the Head of Information Technology, you will play a strategic leadership role in shaping and executing the company's technology transformation agenda across Freight Forwarding and Contract Logistics operations. You will be responsible for driving the IT project portfolio, modernizing core business platforms, improving operational efficiency through technology, enhancing data visibility, supporting digital innovation initiatives including AI adoption, and ensuring technology investments deliver measurable business value.

Key responsibilities

• Define, prioritize, and execute the IT roadmap for Freight Forwarding and Contract Logistics, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational priorities, customer expectations, and corporate standards

• Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for digital transformation, process optimization, automation, and technology-driven improvements

• Champion innovation and support the organization's AI adoption journey by evaluating practical use cases and ensuring responsible implementation of emerging technologies

• Lead the full lifecycle of strategic IT initiatives, including business requirement gathering, solution design, project planning, budget management, vendor coordination, testing, deployment, and post-implementation review

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across freight forwarding, warehousing, transportation, customer service, billing, reporting, and administrative functions

• Lead the implementation, optimization, and ongoing enhancement of core logistics technology platforms including CargoWise, Warehouse Management Systems, Salesforce, Customer Portals, Business Intelligence and Reporting Platforms, Integration and Middleware Solutions, and Operational Automation Tools

• Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders across Operations, Commercial, Finance, Human Resources, Quality, and regional business functions

• Ensure all technology initiatives incorporate appropriate cybersecurity, data privacy, access governance, disaster recovery, business continuity, and regulatory compliance requirements

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team

Required skills/experience

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline

• Minimum 15 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles managing IT projects, enterprise system implementations, digital transformation programs, or business process improvement initiatives

• Proven success in delivering complex technology projects that have generated measurable improvements in operational efficiency, customer experience, system adoption, reporting accuracy, service quality, or cost optimization

• Experience within Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Warehousing, or related logistics environments is highly preferred
