Position Overview: We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer with Golang experience. This remote position involves managing various backend platform areas, including API integrations with third-party vendors and partners. As part of our User Tribe, you'll help make it easier for users to access Rain and develop products that promote positive cash availability.

Responsibilities:

1. Translate product requirements into robust technical solutions and lead engineering efforts.
2. Design and implement reliable systems within a distributed microservices architecture.
3. Build and maintain integrations with third-party vendors and partners.
4. Design and implement highly available RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
5. Create reusable code and libraries to foster collaboration and scalability.
6. Enforce observability best practices with logging, metrics, and alerting systems.
7. Maintain detailed technical documentation.
8. Monitor systems for performance and scalability improvements.
9. Collaborate effectively across teams to align priorities and requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proficiency in back-end languages such as Go/Golang, Java, Python, C++.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience building scalable distributed systems and microservices.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, ECS.
• Ownership-driven project management with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with message queuing systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Flink.
• Release management and CI/CD experience with Gitlab CI or Github Actions.
