Jobtailor in São Paulo, Brazil seeks an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to oversee the full close cycle for Brazil entities, ensure accuracy of statutory books under CPC/IFRS, and coordinate with a US-based Corporate Controller. You will manage outsourced providers and align Brazilian reporting with US GAAP requirements.

Responsibilities include ownership of monthly/quarterly/annual closes, tax and CVM filings, intercompany activity, FX translation, audits, and process documentation.

Qualificações

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
CRC registration required.
6+ years of accounting experience.
Experience directing an accounting team or outsourced provider.
Deep knowledge of Brazilian accounting standards (CPC/IFRS).
Knowledge of Brazilian statutory and tax reporting obligations.
Experience owning a full close cycle for multi-entity organization.
Experience managing external accounting, tax, or payroll providers.
Fluent in Portuguese and English, written and spoken.
Able to work with a US-based manager across time zones.
Strong attention to detail.
Clear written communication.
Process documentation.

Responsabilidades

Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for all Brazil entities.
Deliver the reporting package to the US team on the close calendar.
Coordinate daily accounting activities of Brazil entities.
Direct and review the outsourced accounting provider's work.
Resolve open items and report close status.
Hold external accounting, tax, and payroll providers accountable for deliverables, deadlines, and quality.
Maintain statutory books under Brazilian GAAP.
Own accounting and reporting for the FIDC.
Review administrator and custodian calculations, receivables portfolio, loan loss provisioning, subordination, waterfall mechanics, CVM filings, and audited fund financial statements.
Prepare and review the US GAAP reporting package and local-to-US GAAP bridge.
Oversee Brazilian tax compliance and review federal, state, and municipal filings.
Review and approve reconciliations, journal entries, intercompany activity, and FX translation.
Manage local statutory and FIDC audits and support the US audit.
Document Brazil accounting processes and controls and reduce manual work.
Serve as accounting point of contact in Brazil for banking partners, fund administrator, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
Report directly to the Corporate Controller in the United States.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
CRC registration
6+ years of accounting experience
Experience directing an accounting team or an outsourced provider
Deep, current knowledge of Brazilian accounting standards (CPC / IFRS as adopted in Brazil)
Knowledge of Brazilian statutory and tax reporting obligations
Experience owning a full close cycle end to end for a multi-entity organization
Experience managing external accounting, tax, or payroll providers
Fluent in Portuguese and English, written and spoken
Ability to work as the senior finance presence in Brazil with a US-based manager across time zones
Strong attention to detail
Clear written communication
Habit of documenting processes
Preferred but not required: working knowledge of US GAAP; FIDC, securitization vehicle, or fund accounting and CVM reporting experience; financial services, lending, or fintech experience; NetSuite experience; Big 4 or US external audit experience; experience scaling accounting operations for a foreign subsidiary

Core Competencies

Demonstrates expertise in Brazilian accounting standards, including Brazilian GAAP and CPC/IFRS, while managing the full close cycle for multi-entity organizations. Proficient in overseeing tax compliance, financial reporting, and coordinating with external providers in both Portuguese and English.
