Jobtailor in São Paulo, Brazil, is seeking an experienced Accountant to lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, prepare reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting analyses. You will integrate information from tax, procurement, inventory, payroll, and finance modules, ensuring data integrity across the financial statements.

The role requires a degree in Accounting, Brazilian CPC/BR GAAP knowledge, ERP experience, advanced Excel, and strong communication skills to collaborate

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• CRC registration preferred.
• Experience with accounting close, reconciliations, and account analysis.
• Knowledge of Brazilian accounting standards — CPC/BR GAAP.
• Experience preparing trial balances and supporting financial statements.
• Experience supporting internal and external audits.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems.

Responsabilidades

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close activities.
• Prepare and review balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and allocations.
• Analyze accounting variances and investigate discrepancies.
• Support the preparation of trial balances, financial statements, and management reports.
• Track and follow up on outstanding items identified during reconciliations.
• Perform activities related to fixed assets, inventories, revenue, expenses, provisions, and leases.
• Ensure integration of information from finance, tax, procurement, inventory, and payroll modules.
• Prepare documentation, analyses, and supporting evidence for audits.
• Support compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Assist with notes to the financial statements and other disclosures.
• Support updating of department procedures and drive process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to automate, standardize, and enhance accounting processes.
• Participate in system implementation/enhancement projects.
• Provide guidance to junior and mid-level analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
