Sales Application Specialist (Pharma)
Vertical: Pharma
Reports To: Sales Manager Pharma
Location: São Paulo, Brazil
Position Summary:
Join our team dedicated to excellence in the Pharma market. As a Sales Application Specialist, you'll be pivotal in driving business growth through customer relationship building, identifying growth opportunities, and meeting sales targets.
Main responsibilities:
- Develop actionable plans to visit end users in the Pharma vertical and identify sales opportunities.
- Cultivate and implement new accounts to expand market presence and brand recognition.
- Maintain effective customer relations with purchasing and end users within Brazil.
- Achieve annual sales targets and operate within expense budget guidelines.
- Make independent decisions while applying resources to meet customer needs and work with cross-functional teams.
- Conduct sales calls and manage vendor relations with current and potential customers.
- Stay informed on industry activity, new products/services, and incorporate data into business plans.
- Handle pricing negotiations to control profitability.
- Maintain meticulous territory management records and reports.
- Address customer issues and perform tasks assigned by the manager.
- Advise customers on supply and price trends, assist in inventory control, and follow up on leads from other divisions.
- Function as a segment specialist with strategic direction to grow the business.
- Identify new key accounts and customers.
Success Profile
Education & Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in microbiology or equivalent experience (Pharmaceutical background).
- High technical competence and confidence.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel (50%-75%).
- Proficient English language skills - oral and written.
Preferred qualifications
- Consistency, precision, and listening skills.
- Desire to continuously improve and progress into new responsibilities.
- Previous experience in a life sciences company.
Experience:
- +5 years of Sales experience in the Pharma industry, ideally in microbiology.
- Proven ability to develop growth strategies and successfully implement sales strategies and new product introductions.
- Operate independently with initiative and good business judgment.
