Position Summary
The Residential Care Associate plays a pivotal role in shaping a safe, structured, and vibrant residential community for our scholars. Residing on campus, you will oversee daily routines, provide holistic pastoral support, assist with campus operations, and foster a positive, inclusive environment that supports scholars' personal and academic success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Scholar Routine & Pastoral Care
- Live-in Duty & Daily Operations: Reside on campus to ensure scholars' safety, well-being, and adherence to daily routines (e.g., wake-up routines, mealtimes, and night check-ins/lights out).
- Living Environment: Collaborate with campus security, facilities, and housekeeping teams to maintain a secure, safe, and clean-living environment.
2. Mentorship& Student Wellbeing
- Role Modeling: Demonstrate exemplary standards of professionalism, integrity, and respect, serving as a positive role model within the residential community.
- Emotional Support: Offer foundational emotional and social support to scholars; identify early signs of distress and escalat... complex cases appropriately to the Assistant Lead or relevant personnel.
3. Community& Youth Programming
- Event Execution: Assist in planning, organizing, and delivering residential activities, cultural exchanges, and personal growth workshops to foster community spirit.
- Operational & Logistics Support: Manage ground logistics, venue setups, and administrative requirements for residential events and activities.
4. Cross Departmental Collaboration
- Holistic Alignment: Partner closely with internal teams—including Scholar Development Executives, Program Managers, and Campus Security—to ensure an integrated approach to scholar support.
- Vendor Engagement: Support coordination with external vendors and community partners under the guidance of the Assistant Lead.
5. Crisis Management & Safety Compliance
- Emergency Response: Act as a first responder during campus incidents (e.g., medical emergencies, fire safety alarms) in accordance with established emergency response protocols.
- Policy Enforcement: Communicate, promote, and uphold residential policies, code of conduct, and safety guidelines among scholars.
6.Administration & Facilities Support
- Campus Operations: Assist with daily administrative tasks, campus procurement, inventory tracking, and facilities maintenance requests to ensure smooth campus functioning.
Qualifications& Requirements
- Educational Background: Diploma, NITEC/Higher NITEC, or equivalent qualification in Social Services, Youth Work, Hospitality, Community Care, Facilities Management, or related disciplines.
- Experience: Prior experience in residential care, youth mentorship, student services, or caregiving is advantageous, though passionate candidates seeking to transition into youth support are welcome to apply.
