Job summary

United Specialists Pte Ltd is seeking a procurement associate to support the company's purchasing activities and coordinate with suppliers and sub-contractors. You will source suppliers, compare prices, prepare purchase orders, and maintain procurement documentation.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of purchasing experience in construction, strong English communication, and proficiency in MS Excel/Word. Singapore experience is preferred; independent and self-motivated work is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years purchasing experience in construction preferred (Singapore).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English.
• Familiar with tendering and estimation is encouraged.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement process of the Company.
• Sourcing for suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Comparing and negotiating prices with suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Preparing purchase orders and/or work orders to suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Liaise with suppliers on goods delivery schedule.
• Assist in preparing progress claims to project clients and payment responses to sub-contractors.
• Maintain proper documentation for procurement.
• Assist on other duties as may be assigned by the Management from time to time.

• Good Command of English
• Proficiency in local tendering and estimation experience is strongly encourage to apply
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum guidance
• Software skills required on MS Excel and MS Word
