Job summary

Staffking Pte Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented Tender QS to manage the end-to-end tendering process for renovation, M&E and construction projects. You will review drawings, prepare BOQs, cost estimates and submission documents, coordinating with subcontractors and clients.

You should have a degree in Quantity Surveying or related field and 1-3 years of tendering experience. The role offers a structured environment, regular hours and opportunities to contribute to competitive bids.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or related disciplines.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in Tender QS / Quantity Surveying.
• Experience in renovation, A&A, M&E or building construction projects is preferred.
• Able to read and interpret architectural, structural and M&E drawings.
• Good understanding of quantity take-off, costing and tender preparation.
• Familiar with BOQ preparation, rate analysis and cost estimation.
• Knowledge of local construction contracts such as PSSCOC and SIA will be an advantage.
• Good communication and negotiation skills when dealing with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented with good time management.
• Able to work independently and meet tight tender submission deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the tendering process from initial enquiry to final submission.
• Review tender drawings, specifications, scope of works and contract requirements.
• Carry out quantity take-off and prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BQ).
• Prepare cost estimates and pricing for renovation, M&E and construction works.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors, suppliers and vendors.
• Compare quotations and negotiate pricing to achieve competitive tender rates.
• Prepare tender costing, rate build-ups and detailed cost breakdowns.
• Identify potential cost risks, discrepancies and missing information in tender documents.
• Liaise with consultants, clients and relevant parties for tender clarifications and RFIs.
• Attend site visits and tender briefings to understand site conditions and project requirements.
• Coordinate with the project and operations teams to ensure accurate costing and project information.
• Prepare tender submission documents, commercial summaries and proposals for management review.
• Assist in post-tender negotiations, clarifications and revisions.
• Maintain proper records of tender documents, quotations and costing information.
• Monitor tender deadlines and ensure all submissions are completed accurately and on time.
• Keep updated on current construction material prices, subcontractor rates and market trends.
• Perform other QS, tendering and ad-hoc duties assigned by management.
