MISC Group is seeking an entry-level engineer in Rio de Janeiro to perform routine inspections and maintenance of topside systems, ensuring safe operations per company procedures and PTW requirements.

The role includes rounds, CMMS-driven maintenance, line isolations verification, and system preparation for maintenance activities. You will gain hands-on offshore exposure and grow technical skills in preventive maintenance and inspections.

Qualificações

  • Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, automation, chemical or related field.
  • Recent graduate with up to 2 years of graduation.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial operations or process equipment from studies or internships.
  • Willingness to learn offshore maintenance and PTW procedures.
  • English level is intermediate (mandatory for Brazilian candidates).

Responsabilidades

  • Perform routine rounds to monitor system and equipment performance and report abnormalities.
  • Execute first-line maintenance on process systems per CMMS work orders and daily inspections.
  • Conduct line walks to verify isolations before PTW release.
  • Prepare systems and equipment for maintenance, including draining, cleaning and purging.
  • Carry out preservation, inspections, oil changes, filter cleaning, and paint touch-ups as required.
  • Ensure all activities comply with SOPs, procedures and safety requirements.

Job Purpose

Execute routine inspections and predictive/preventive maintenance activities on topside systems and equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operations in accordance with company procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and supervisor instructions.

Responsibilities

Perform routine rounds throughout the process plant to monitor system and equipment performance and report abnormal conditions.

Execute first-line maintenance on process systems and equipment in accordance with CMMS work orders, daily inspections, and supervisor instructions.

Conduct line walks to verify proper system isolations before Permit to Work (PTW) release.

Prepare systems and equipment for maintenance activities, including draining, cleaning, and purging prior to handover.

Perform preservation activities, visual inspections, vibration, temperature and noise checks, oil changes and top-ups, cleaning of filters, strainers, drains, and sight glasses, gasket replacement (when specific competency is not required), and paint touch-ups.

Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with company procedures, SOPs, and safety requirements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Chemical, or related Engineering fields, from a recognized educational institution.
  • Recent graduate with up to 2 years of graduation.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial operations, maintenance, process systems, or equipment inspection gained through academic studies, internships, or practical training.
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills in offshore operations, first-line maintenance, equipment inspections, and Permit to Work (PTW) procedures.
  • English: Intermediate (mandatory for Brazilian candidates).
